Breaking the Cycle of Depression: a 6 week, MBCT group

A Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy group to prevent relapse of depression

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, (MBCT), has been shown to be an effective way to break the cycle of recurring depression and anxiety. MBCT group sessions and homework assignments can help you make a radical shift in your relationship to the thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations that contribute to emotional instability. As a group member, you will learn:

  • To recognize how vicious downward spirals begin
  • Meditative practices for disengaging from these patterns
  • How to achieve greater emotional stability and well-being
